Birch Bark Armoire
The key to it's sustainability as a material rests in the fact that birch grows quickly and has a relatively short life span.
The Birch Bark Armoire turned out to be a great exercise in branding, as well as an important change in furniture vocabulary. I think that it is easy to get intrenched in current stylistic trends with-in furniture design . . . for me it is refreshing to revisit pieces such as the armoire which tend to meet the needs of a simpler existence. Past the point of mere aesthetics, and visual interest, they provide an alternative way to organize a persons life.
